New or Preowned May Fit Your Needs

We have computers for every budget.  With all the features your computer can now deliver, it makes sense to have us assemble a custom computer system for you. Whether you want a simple custom computer or a complete studio outfit, we can provide the solution. One size does not fit all.   Price vs. performance is where the value is. We will interview you to determine your requirements for both now and the future upgrade potential.

Solid State Hard Drive

The solid-state hard drive is the most bang for your buck in terms of speed.  The older hard drive technology is mechanical and becomes lethargic even while functional.  In most cases, upgrading your existing computer to a solid-state drive will spring life back into performance.  Before selling that solution, we clone your current campaign and test it on your computer.

Random Access Memory

RAM is where most of the current state of your computer is stored.  From when you turn your computer on to the programs you load, all your activity is loaded into RAM from permanent storage like your disk drive or the internet.  The speed that you can switch back and forth between your tasks can be limited by too little RAM.

Custom Video Card

The video card, in concert with your monitor, determines the quality of your visual computer display.  The video card determines the number of monitors you can have on your computer and the maximum resolution possible.  This measures how large an image can be on your screen without pixelation.  Video cards can have a separate processor to expedite rapid motion, like gaming, 3D CAD, or video editing.

Fitted Power Supply

High-end custom systems will draw more power as the hardware is upgraded.  CPUs and video cards tend to drive up the power requirements.   Measured in watts, the power supply requirements usually range from 500-900 watts.

Motherboard

The motherboard is the bedrock of your computer system.  Shortchanging this component will cause limitations on all members you add to your computer.  It also determines whether you have an Intel or AMD architecture and CPU.

Cooling System

Heat is the killer of a computer.  As more and more components have no moving parts, heat usually causes system hardware failure.  Moving air with fans is the norm. However, water-cooled systems are standard for expensive systems to preserve their useful life.  Colored lights on fans also make an attractive addition to a custom system.   A word to the wise, keep dust from settling inside your computer, which coats the parts and prevents cooling air flow from being effective.

Intel CPU

We recommend Intel processors.  Our custom systems utilize x-series Core i5 through the current offering, Core i9 Extreme.  Your application requirements will determine the CPU selected for your custom build.

Custom Case

The least critical component of a custom system is the case.  Good ventilation and interior visibility are the standard requirements.  Of course, the matter of bragging rights can be a determining factor.
